Sustainability.

As a vegetarian brand, we never use leather, skin, fur or feathers. By taking this stance we are proving it is possible to create beautiful, luxurious products that are better for everyone – animals, people and the environment. We believe that fashion can be luxurious without using leather or fur. We source our wool from farms that have been chosen based on their commitment to animal welfare and environmental stewardship. We use wool because it is one of the most naturally technical materials in the world. It keeps you warm but it also breathes. It has antibacterial properties so it does not require frequent washing. It is naturally water repellent, fire resistant and is long-lasting. At Millenial k we do not use silk as it cuts short the life of the silkworm. We currently use vegan-silks and our dedication to innovation means we are always looking for new ways of bringing sustainability into our design methods while also creating the most beautiful product possible. Fashion is changing and the next generation of advanced materials and innovation in silk alternatives are exciting for fashion lovers and environmentalists alike. Where possible we use organic cotton in our collections. Organic Cotton eliminates the use of toxic and persistent chemicals, improves soil health and increases water conservation. All of which is better for the environment, and for farmers and their communities. We are also determined to eliminate all use of plastics across our brand. Currently our use of plastics is extremely minimal. The future of fashion relies on people. The people who make clothes, the farmers who grow the crops for our materials, our employees, and our customers. We want to have a positive impact for everyone that we depend on and for those who depend on us in return. While it is the primary duty of governments to protect, respect, fulfil and progressively realise human rights, we know and believe that advocating human rights also starts with us. We can, and should, improve the lives of the people we touch. We believe everybody in our supply chain should be treated with respect and dignity. We believe everybody should earn a fair wage. We believe in building modern and resilient supply chains that provide desirable jobs, foster people’s skills, strengthen worker’s voices and advocate for vulnerable groups.
